Healthcare Case Study – Innovative Women’s Clinic | Logic Inbound
https://logicinbound.wordpress.com/2017/06/13/healthcare-case-study-innovative-womens-clinic/
Innovative Women’s Clinic is a team of experienced doctors and licensed physicians offering hormone replacement therapy and weight loss services focused specifically on women’s sexual health and aging needs. They are a brand extension created by Innovative Men’s Clinic to explore a new market vertical. Innovative Men’s Clinic is the second largest Men’s clinic brand in the Seattle region with 5 locations.
Key positive outcomes:
Took a completely new brand from zero to high profitability using entirely SEO
What did Logic Inbound do?
Innovative Men’s Clinic is a longtime client of Logic Inbound. In December of 2016, they decided to expand into providing hormone therapy and weight loss treatments for women through the Innovative Women’s Clinic brand.
“With my business, giving the client the opportunity to make maximum profit is what my goal is. When Logic Inbound came in to work with Innovative Men’s Clinic, they established a baseline that allowed us to start measuring things to say we’re moving forward or backward. Unless you can measure what your baseline is, you’re lost.” – Dave Biehn, Marketing Manager at Innovative Men’s Clinic and Innovative Women’s Clinic
Innovative Men’s Clinic was so satisfied with their previous results that they asked Logic Inbound to apply SEO tactics to the new Innovative Women’s Clinic. In only six months and through SEO tactics alone, Logic Inbound grew Innovative Women’s Clinic from zero traffic into a highly profitable new vertical with six to ten new appointments per week. This demonstrates the raw power of SEO for increasing profits in the health clinic business.
Innovative Men’s Clinic trusted Logic Inbound to drive this new brand into profitability entirely through SEO because of their history of powerful results. Prior to working with Logic Inbound, Innovative Men’s Clinic’s digital effort was disorganized and ineffective by their own admission. It lacked any particular strategic direction and was impossible to measure. Logic Inbound stepped in and brought an analytical focus to their marketing plan. Many modern consumers seeking medical help or advice turn to Google, so driving as much of that traffic as possible to Innovative Men’s Clinic was critical to growing their revenue.
I can call Logic Inbound any time, seven days a week, to get answers and help me with email marketing, with SEO. It is a great relationship because it is small and responsive. – Dave Biehn, Marketing Manager at Innovative Men’s Clinic and Innovative Women’s Clinic
Before Logic Inbound’s marketing techniques, 20-30% of appointments were no-shows. By focusing on organic SEO-driven traffic, we were bringing in higher quality leads with more interest and intent to actually show up. Innovative Men’s Clinic’s cancellations from SEO traffic dropped to nearly zero. Through a combination of SEO, paid search marketing, email marketing, conversion rate optimization, and strategic retargeting, Logic Inbound was able to raise their profile in the Seattle area and dramatically increase profitability through cost-efficient tactics.
Keywords Targeted and Where They Rank on the First Page of Google Within 6 Months:
Keyword Strategy
Innovative Women’s Clinic is a local healthcare business that can expect most of their customers to come from the surrounding area. As a result, geographically focused keywords are most likely to convert the searcher into a paying customer. People who search regional keywords for a medical service are often already interested in paying for it and are simply determining their available options.

Challenge
Prior to working with Logic Inbound, Dave Biehn Marketing was constantly searching for a strong digital solution for their clients. “Logic Inbound was a highly experienced drill-down company that could give me the answers to the questions I needed, including giving me a base for creative decisions based on metrics.”
Solution
Logic Inbound was able to solve all of these problems by offering a powerful and effective digital marketing package including SEO, email marketing, conversion rate optimization, and AdWords. We backed up our results with consistent reporting and strategic insights based on measurable impact. Today, Dave Biehn Marketing no longer spends any time taking calls from competing digital and SEO agencies because of the strength of Logic Inbound’s services. Logic Inbound’s clear and thorough analytics reporting make it easy for partners to explain the return on investment for our various marketing strategies.
“A lot of other companies that are bureaucracies charge a low fee, but you get what you pay for. Logic Inbound will charge you a very affordable fee but provide a depth of analysis that will stun. You won’t even believe it.”

1 Trick to Spy on the Top Shopify Stores + How to STOP Spies in Your Store! | Logic Inbound
1 Trick to Spy on the Top Shopify Stores + How to STOP Spies in Your Store! | Logic Inbound
https://logicinbound.wordpress.com/2017/06/02/1-trick-to-spy-on-the-top-shopify-stores-how-to-stop-spies-in-your-store/
There’s a simple user interface tweak that many top Shopify and e-commerce sites use to increase sales on specific products. It’s easy to miss, yet implementing it can dramatically improve the visibility of higher-margin or overstocked items. Knowing about this tweak also makes it easy to understand which items your competition is actually selling the most of.
It’s as straightforward as creating a custom-made “Best Seller” product collection and making it more visible than the existing default sorting options. Instead of leaving it up to the customer to display all products and then sort by “best selling”, a Shopify store creator can place a more desirable selection of items front and center.
There’s an easy way to check whether a Shopify store is doing this: simply add “/collections/all?sort_by=best-selling&page=1” to the end of the homepage URL. For most stores, this will take you directly to a best seller ranking of all products, even if such a page is normally unavailable in the site navigation. Compare what you see here to the “Best Seller” product category on the site.
Hayk from Logic Inbound has created this helpful video to demonstrate not only how to do this yourself, but how to prevent others from snooping around your own site. It’s a simple fix, but one that even most top Shopify stores have not implemented (for now).
For those of you who can’t watch a video right now, let’s walk through what this looks like.
Fashionnova.com has a “best seller” section built into the top navigation pane. Clicking the “Best Sellers” here leads to this page:
Using the direct navigation trick by adding “/collections/all?sort_by=best-selling&page=1” to the homepage URL takes us to the actual best sellers list, which has very little in common with the navigation tab “Best Sellers” collection. It starts like this:
There’s no option to sort at all within a displayed collection on Fashionnova.com. Without using the manual URL addition, there does not appear to be any way to see the actual best selling items.
As the third most visited Shopify domain, Fashionnova probably has a good reason for doing this.
Compare what you see at that page to the “Best Seller” collection they offer in the standard navigation menu; you’ll often find they do not display the same listings.
There are a number of reasons a store could want to do this, but the most obvious one is to display higher profit margin or high inventory items. Using the simple homepage URL extension method, anyone can see the actual best seller list. This is perfect for “spying” on your competition to determine which items YOU should consider selling.
You can prevent people from using this trick on your own Shopify site with a simple code tweak. To see how, please watch the video at the beginning of this post. The script you’ll want to use is:
var pathname = window.location.href;
if((pathname.indexOf(“sort_by=best-selling”) != -1) || (pathname.indexOf(“sort_by=created-descending”) != -1) || (pathname.indexOf(“sort_by=created-ascending”) != -1)){
window.location.href = [location.protocol, ‘//’, location.host, location.pathname].join(”);
}
Think about how you could apply this knowledge to your own Shopify store. How will knowing which items are actually selling for your competition change your own store? Are you okay with others seeing your true best sellers? Be sure to remember the “/collections/all?sort_by=best-selling&page=1” trick for when you’re doing research on the competition in the future! In many cases, the information you need is out there right beneath the surface.
